Last week when we were readying ourselves for our trip down range, Rebar Dan walks up with a heavy item wrapped in cellophane. I noticed him placing it in the sun close to the hillside when he motions me over.
Dan says "Come on over here, I've got something to show you". At first I'm not sure what he would have wrapped up in plastic saran wrap but I wasn't sure I needed to see it , being a law abiding citizen and all.
Well once I saw it, any fears of legality subsided and I was pleasantly surprised at his gift to the Sylmar club.
We haven't set it into the ground just yet but will in the next week or so.
Apparently Rebar is "giving back, or paying it forward". Seems he in fact had is own account of nearly launching unhooked , or maybe not making it all the way through the launch. So he's made more than one of these cement placards and wants to distribute one of these at every launch site in SoCal.
Thanks Dan for helping keep all of your fellow pilots safe. |

Put the sign that Dan gave us into the ground a while ago (Easter Sunday, I believe).
